We are thrilled to welcome Principle UX/UI Designer Stephan Dube to the Gnomon stream. Stephan is a technology and design expert with over 25 years of experience in software technology, development, and video game design and has designed interfaces for AAA, VR/AR, console titles, and mobile apps for companies such as Meta and Arrivant.

During this livestream event, Stephan will discuss the differences between UX and UI and the different roles and contributions you will find in a UX/UI team. He will also walk viewers through the steps for building a proper UX flow for onboarding players, discuss how to generate art assets in a non-destructive way for any game engine and share his thoughts on how AI can facilitate some UI tasks. If you’re interested in game development and curious about how UX/UI factors into immersive game design, you won’t want to miss this stream! Stephan is passionate about sharing his knowledge with the community and will answer questions after his presentation.

The duo is back on the Gnomon Twitch and YouTube channels every Friday chronicling the creation of the film using Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. Each week, viewers will see real-time progress, and insight into production notes, and are encouraged to interact with Miguel and Tran in the chat.

The Academy Award-nominated sequel was released last year and we are thrilled to welcome VFX Supervisor Mark Edwards, Head of Character Animation Ludovic Bouancheau, Effects Lead (and Gnomon graduate) David Chow, CG Supervisor Sondra Verlander, and CFX Artist Pramita Mukherjee to the Gnomon stage to talk about their work. The panel will present for an hour and leave plenty of time for audience questions!
